Linze Rice is a writer, photographer and business woman born and raised in the Midwest. She is originally from Kingston, Illinois, a rural farming community of about 1,000 residents in northern DeKalb County, and has lived in the Chicago area since 2013. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Kishwaukee College in 2010, and graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, focusing on gender and women’s studies. Linze has worked as an editor, copywriter, photographer, content strategist and journalist, and has taught journalism at Loyola University.

She lives 10 minutes outside Chicago with her husband, cat, and two dogs.
